Silk on Stone on Lace on Flesh: Dani Trew | 20 Bourdon Street

Lyndsey Ingram is delighted to present Silk on Stone on Lace on Flesh, an exhibition of new paintings by Dani Trew. This is the artist’s second solo exhibition at the gallery. Bringing together large-scale panel paintings and smaller, more intimate works, the exhibition explores the female experience through an interplay of fabric, texture and diverse historical references. Often depicted from the neck down or deliberately cropped, Trew’s subjects are adorned in contemporary and historical high fashion. Through intricate details and hidden motifs, she weaves together seemingly disparate visual references, allowing unexpected narratives to emerge.
