Contours: Group Show | 20 Bourdon Street

23 April - 29 May 2026
Lyndsey Ingram is delighted to present Contours, a group exhibition bringing together historic and contemporary artworks to explore how artists have used 'the figure’ to articulate line, space and form. Both familiar and endlessly variable, the human body has long occupied a central position in the history of art. Rather than approaching the figure as a fixed subject, Contours investigates its ability to construct, destabilise, and reconfigure pictorial space.

The exhibition includes work by: Miles Aldridge, Georg Baselitz; Sara Berman; Lisa Brice; Stephen Chambers; Edgar Degas; Jean Dubuffet; Tracey Emin; Eric Fischl; Lucian Freud; Paul Gauguin; Tom Hammick; Stanley William Hayter; David Hockney; Georgie Hopton; Gary Hume; Isla Jones; Gerald Laing; Kathryn Maple; Henri Matisse; Jennifer McRae; Lee Miller; Henry Moore; Ishbel Myerscough; Pablo Picasso; Cyril Power; Catherine Repko; Heidrun Rathgeb; Gerhard Richter; Alexis Soul-Gray; Katy Stubbs; Andy Warhol.
