Curiosity and desire for knowledge led Piero to collect and store things from an early age: maps, military catalogues, tailors’ and saddlers’ albums, ribbons, lace, tavern signs and matchboxes, ready to be extracted from their world at the right moment and combined with other objects to compose fascinating works of art.

Lyndsey Ingram is delighted to announce Atelier Fornasetti: The Poetry of Objects. Organised in collaboration with Fornasetti in Milan, the exhibition highlights the outstanding heritage of this iconic brand and its contribution to Italian art over the past ninety years. Included in the exhibition are rare, early pieces including Trumeau Panoplie and Trumeau Architettura from the 1950s, as well as a selection of other early vintage objects. These will be placed in dialogue with later editions which all tell the story of how Fornasetti interpreted the world around him.
