Lyndsey Ingram and Galerie Maximillian proudly present Sarah Graham’s first show in New York City, after sell-out shows and London and Aspen, Colorado. This exhibition will take place between the 12th and 19th November in a private townhouse gallery on the Upper East Side, New York, and will be open to the public. The works will also be available for private viewings in London.

In this exhibition, Graham has created a body of work inspired by extraordinary eighteenth Century German and Italian models of luxurious and brightly coloured plants made of papier maché Made for students learning about botany they can be taken apart, thus revealing their construction, and form part of the greater collection owned by dealer Peter Petrou. These models sit in her nineteenth century artist’s studio in Chelsea, London, in front of cabinets of curiosities and shelves of wunderkammer and botanical tomes, skulls, exotic plants and beetles in bell jars.
